According to reports by a Los Angeles dog bite lawyer, a two-year-old boy was bitten in the face by a Pit Bull a little after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the backyard of his residence in the 13000 block of Louvre Street in Pacoima.
His grandmother was supervising the toddler when the Pit Bull attacked the boy his grandmother jumped on the back of the dog to pull it away from the toddler. She sustained puncture wounds to her hand and arm, as well as major bites to her right leg and thigh during the dog bite attack.
According to a Los Angeles Police Sgt. Rich Suviate the toddler received one bite from the bridge of the nose to under the eye socket, another that was down the bridge of the nose and one that was through the mouth and cheek area.
When Los Angeles Firefighters arrived on the scene of the dog bite attack in order to reach the toddler they had to use a fire extinguisher on the Pit Bull and another dog that was in the front yard of the home barking.
It has been reported that Sgt. Suviate stated the toddler was airlifted at a near by park by helicopter along with his grandmother and were taken to Children’s Hospital. He also stated that the doctor said there had been no damage to his nasal or sinus cavities.
He also stated that the toddler is in stable condition and while he will need some plastic surgery on his face the injuries are non-life threatening.

If my toddler was attacked by a pit bull I would instantly find some Los Angeles dog bite attorneys. I would not let a case like that drop easy. I think its the owners fault if he could not tame his dog enough to not attack people
Almost Victim Several Times Myself:
Lots of money to be made raising animals. The more the attacks the higher the value. Worse than Sharks out of water that they are, and with thousands of pounds of force behind their bite, like no other dog is the Pit Bull.
People raise them for social status. People use them to prevent other things illegal to be so easy to find out about them as well. They don't want to go near your door if you have one. Gained over seventy pounds back from last attack, which was the sixth one.
They have a triggered effect and are calm for years at times but when they go bonkers it's natural. It's not really all so true as they say, "It's all in how you raise them." Yes, being social around them helps.
Eventually though good luck as they are said to go off by a officer who trains K9's, without a moments notice at times hardly. Simply the movement of a bike wheel and then they come back to the owner calm.
They make six hundred fifty dollars per animal, under the table at times or more. Oregon has outlawed the Pit Bull. I love animals but not for money bags out of the womb.
This is a creature that packs to much of a more than punch or wallop and even Prize Fighters have registered hands. The lease is the safety belt.
People let them go and you can't even find the owners. You can always get another from the profits you make. They don't care about the animal.
They care about money and no need to rob a bank as it's easier to get away with this crime, as some don't want to work hard and smart like our Fore-Fathers did. These people shouldn't be Americans.
Infants and toddlers are innocent and show no fear as it's like a stuffed animal to them until this so called toy to them, eats them alive.
These animals don't deserve to be abused by their owners, and shouldn't be allowed by state law to own any weapon or animal that is way out of hand to the Judges like Joe Brown, who also hunts wild game, for exercise and pleasure.
We can't conceal weapons all of us. The jaws locked in these animals, and you just can't get them off you once their locked even if you had to stab them as your bleeding.
There-fore it should be on the public ballot for each voter to have a means to help more than put a bite on crime and as a incentive to further go out and vote as to out law as Oregon has the "Pit Bull" as it's proven to have a bite more than even a Shark out of water, or at least equal to, anyone with common sense Judge or not would agree.
Power to the people and the innocent above the dangers of life in the city already out of hand to much so, than to allow wild animals to be brought in at will.
Write your Congressman, and tell the people kindly to sign petitions to make your mark to protect your children.
The German Shepard is used by the Police, and they wouldn't like it if the Police used the Pit Bull on the criminals.
The law abiding citizens and people who want to love one another more than money, don't deserve to suffer with these people raising animals only for profit and to have pull through threatening innocent people to where they can't even go out and walk without fears from prior attacks or not even.
Please help write to what-ever Web Site you can and get the word out, as this is a dangerous bite like a shark and no one wants to swim with so many as we have in our cities now, and just have them say it's safe.
Their not Judges or experts and the ones who are, "Say that the bite of the "Pit Bull" is like unto a Shark out of water".
This is crazy to even allow people to have these creatures even though I still love wild animals as well. I don't bring them home, and ruin your lives, or your children's future potential talents.
Let it live and be happy away from our cities as it can survive on its own. Lonely doesn't need only people but it's own kind.
Were not it's own kind, and it's not always kind without them. Let them go among wolves and cattle among cattle, and sharks among sharks. What's so bad about this? It's not all you,you know!
