California Woman Mauled to Death in Vicious Dog Attack - Dog Bite Lawyers 888-400-9721


YERMO, California, Dec. 27 (Smith) -- Law enforcement authorities investigated the wrongful death of Kelly Caldwell who was mauled by a pack of vicious dogs in the city of Yermo, California.

According to a local news source, sheriff investigators stated the victim of the mauling, Kelly Caldwell, forty five years of age, was attacked by the vicious dogs at approximately 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

Carol Tanner, Caldwell’s mother said "I heard that she was going to get a ride from somebody to the store," and "Two of the dogs were out and three others joined, I guess, because there are strays running in Yermo."

A resident living in the area who heard the mauling called authorities.

According to sheriffs department spokesperson, Arden Wiltshire, "sheriff deputies and members from the fire department, attempted to save Caldwell, but were not able to save her. The victim, Kelly Caldwell was pronounced dead at the hospital."

KABC-TV states that the dogs that were acting in a vicious manner towards law enforcement authorities have been put down. Law enforcement authorities stated that it was not known at this time how the two dogs got out from the enclosed area were they were kept, or whether any criminal charges against the owner of the two dogs will be filed. video
